  • Does the solution solve a big problem or a minor problem?
  • Will the solution inspire or help many or few?

  • How creative and innovative is the approach of the team?
  • Is the solution novel and something that hasn’t been attempted before or is it only an incremental (additional) improvement of a solution that already exists?

  • Is the solution scientifically valid?
  • Can it successfully work in the real world?
  • Will it achieve its goals?
  • Was there a presented demo? If yes, was it working as expected?

  • Does the solution respond to the challenge it attempts to overcome?
  • Is the solution complete or does it require further development in the future?
  • Is the solution technically feasible ?
  • Is the solution practical and user-friendly?

  • How well did the team communicate their project?
  • Was the team effective in telling the story of their proposed solution, including the statement of the challenge, introduction of the solution and its importance?
