Judging Criteria
1 Impact
- How much impact (both in terms of quality and quantity) can the solution generate?
- Does the solution solve a big problem or a minor problem?
- Will the solution inspire or help many or few?
2 Creativity
- How creative and innovative is the approach of the team?
- Is the solution novel and something that hasn’t been attempted before or is it only an incremental (additional) improvement of a solution that already exists?
3 Validity
- Is the solution scientifically valid?
- Can it successfully work in the real world?
- Will it achieve its goals?
- Was there a presented demo? If yes, was it working as expected?
4 Relevance
- Does the solution respond to the challenge it attempts to overcome?
- Is the solution complete or does it require further development in the future?
- Is the solution technically feasible ?
- Is the solution practical and user-friendly?
5 Presentation
- How well did the team communicate their project?
- Was the team effective in telling the story of their proposed solution, including the statement of the challenge, introduction of the solution and its importance?
